He has committed acts 10,000 times as bad – the existing assessment of fatalities from his cuts to USAID is 600,000 and rising, and presently research projected his fossil fuel policies would result in fatalities an additional 1.3 million. Yet nothing as characteristic. No other president would have attempted – truly, no other president would have contemplated – solo demolishing significant portions of the presidential residence to build a Versailles-style party room, with the enthusiastic participation of multiple America's wealthiest, the majority of whom have business with federal agencies.

As bewildering as it is to witness the chief executive seek to颠覆 the traditional concept regarding democracy and replace it with its direct contrary, there exists a significant segment among Americans who might not perceive it totally unfamiliar. That is those of us – within elder demographics almost a majority – who were educated as mainline Protestant Christians.
We have watched over the years as politically conservative religious groups turned the Jesus we were raised with into exactly the opposite of our understanding of him. The evident and straightforward fact that Christ from scripture requests a type of extreme compassion focused on the needy is what has always made Christianity rather a controversial faith: attractive to the general public, but because of its intrinsic extremism needing to be contained. In the fifties it was controlled via weakening – Protestant Christianity was so dominant that it essentially baptized the status quo.
A Battle for the Best Among Us
So I have been encouraged to witness the steadfast resistance regarding Trump arise during the previous year. It has been significant comfort to participate in developing the campaign that has demonstrated publicly in rally after rally, and seems to have inspired citizens to participate in large quantities during minor elections. We will need to maintain it, and through comparable resolve, featuring US banners at every demonstration and appeals to the highest qualities in US history.
